I see this to #export:
https://lastauth.com/uexport

But import only appears to pull from a hubzilla channel, yes?

Any way to #import from @Diaspora?

Hi @Seth Martin

Correct in that the Export on diaspora is basically just your contacts.
That is where they got stuck at in the process of exporting everything.

Also -- just noting that if I am your contact on diaspora still,
that I did not receive a notification of any sort that
you did this connection process.

Then too -- I have email verification turned off on diaspora;
but I was not notified any other way..

I used test accounts/channels.

I thought that we have a way to get more data but I'm not finding anything.

I like the answer from @NullSpaceOddity as a way to sync posts from diaspora.

Importing from Diaspora (question mark)?

I've been told that it is possible to use Hubzilla to import all of your profile stuff from Diaspora?

I'd be interested in getting my things from there (including images) as diaspora has no (operating) Export function.

Hubzilla first thoughts.

I can not find "the stream" to see who is posting,
to therefore decide who to follow.

I did add 3 connections just to stride into the field;
which has now dumped (it is still slowly incrementing)
140 older Notifications of previous posts for me to wade through.

Hubzilla might benefit from some AJAX-ing.
Each back and forth, click to this or that seems to take a while.

Somehow .. I ended up in [most recent is at the bottom of the page] on this view -- with no tabs at the top.

And when I add a comment at the bottom, it pops me to the top each time.

(I feel drunk ;-)

Check settings => Display settings => Content settings and look for "Manual conversation updates". Try turning this off/on and see if that helps against the jumping. You can perhaps also experiment with the values for "Update browser every xx seconds" and "Maximum number of conversations to load".

@Maria -- you are very helpful!

re: Public Stream

This right?
https://lastauth.com/network

Doesn't that just show who is posting, that you are already connected to?

A public stream of everything is what I was gunning for -- so that I can easily see others that I might be interested in following.

Look at the top of that page, you should have a few tabs. The one called "Discover" is the public stream. If you don't see it, there might be a setting you have to change somewhere.
(Edit: You should be able to manually go to it here: https://lastauth.com/pubstream)

Oh! That's It @Maria.
thank you.

I really think a new user should start out with Discover as the default page.

If I did not know to look for such a thing -- I would have just seen a blank page....

Thanks
